Frequently asked questions
-
Coaching is a non-clinical process focused on goals and personal development, designed to help high-functioning individuals achieve personal and professional ambitions.
Therapy focuses on addressing issues related to psychological diagnoses or mental health conditions.
While Dr. Schulhofer’s background as a clinical psychologist informs her work, coaching is not intended as a substitute for therapy. If at any point during coaching clinical support is needed, she will provide appropriate referrals.
-
While many coaches offer valuable insight and support, her approach is grounded in over a decade of formal academic and clinical training. As a licensed psychologist, her work is informed by rigorous doctoral and postdoctoral education, which required thousands of hours of supervised experience, clinical assessment, and ongoing professional development.
This foundation allows her to go far beyond surface-level mindset work. She is trained to identify and work with complex psychological patterns—such as unconscious defense mechanisms, attachment dynamics, and emotion regulation difficulties—that often lie beneath performance blocks. Her background enables her to hold space for deep transformation while integrating high-performance strategies in a way that’s both effective and evidence-based.

Coaching engagements are typically 6-12 months in length. Depending on your needs, you may meet weekly, biweekly, or in intensive formats. Each engagement is customized around your goals and desired depth of work.
Consulting engagements vary based on the scope and goals of the organization or team. Some partnerships are short-term and targeted — such as conflict resolution, team intensives, or leadership realignment. Others are longer-term, offering ongoing strategic support for founders, executives, or teams.
-
We offer the Alignment Intensive (90-minute Zoom session) — a standalone session designed to bring greater clarity, direction, and momentum.
This intensive session is ideal for first time clients who want to experience the method before beginning a longer commitment. It can also be valuable as a package add-on for current clients who are navigating a pivotal decision or facing times of stress.
However, this work is immersive and relational by nature. In order to create real transformation and maximize benefits, Dr. Schulhofer works with 1:1 coaching clients over time — building trust, insight, and sustainable change.
-

-
You don’t have to feel “ready” in the traditional sense — but you do need to be willing. Willing to be honest with yourself. Willing to explore your patterns. Willing to show up fully, even if it’s uncomfortable at times. Willing to take full responsibility for your growth. -
